General information only

Everything on Monster Arcade is published for entertainment and general information. The guides describe how our own browser games work and how to play them better. They are not professional advice of any kind — not medical, psychological, financial, legal or educational.

Where an article touches on something like reaction time or practice habits, it is a description of what we have observed while making and playtesting arcade games. It is not a scientific claim and should not be treated as one.

No affiliation with any franchise

Monster Arcade is an independent site with no affiliation, association, endorsement or sponsorship from any game publisher, studio, franchise or media property.

Every creature, world, name, mechanic and piece of artwork on this site is our own original creation. We do not use characters, sprites, music, sound effects, level designs or storylines from any existing monster franchise, film, television series, comic or video game. Where a word like "monster" or "beast" appears, it is being used descriptively.

If a name we invented coincidentally resembles something else, that is coincidence rather than reference, and we will happily hear about it through the contact page.

No real-money features

The games on this site contain virtual collectibles — coins, gems, tokens, eggs, crystals and treasure. These are scoring objects inside a browser game and nothing more.

  • They have no monetary value of any kind.
  • They cannot be bought, sold, traded, cashed out or transferred.
  • There is no in-game currency, no shop, no purchases and no premium tier.
  • Nothing on this site involves gambling, wagering or games of chance played for value.

A "token" on Monster Arcade is a shape on a canvas worth a certain number of points, and it stops existing when you close the tab.

Scores and leaderboards

All scores on this site are local to your browser. There are no global leaderboards, no rankings, and no comparison against other players — and we say so on every page where a score appears.

This is a deliberate design consequence of being a static site. With no server, a submitted score could not be verified, and an unverifiable leaderboard is worse than none. We would rather show you an honest personal best than an invented global ranking.

Accuracy and change

We check our claims against our own code and correct errors when we find them, but we cannot guarantee that every page is free of mistakes or that every page reflects the very latest state of a game.

Games are occasionally rebalanced, and although we revise affected articles at the same time, there may be a short window where a guide describes previous behaviour. If you spot one, please tell us — see the fact-checking policy.

Some articles link to external sites for reference. We do not control those sites, do not endorse their content, and are not responsible for their accuracy, availability or privacy practices. Following an external link takes you outside our control entirely.

Advertising

This site may display third-party advertising. Advertisements are served by external networks and are not selected, written or endorsed by us. The appearance of an advertisement is not a recommendation, and any transaction you enter into with an advertiser is between you and them.

Health and comfort

Fast-moving visual content can be uncomfortable for some people. Our games use parallax backgrounds, particle effects and flashing feedback, all of which are reduced automatically when your device requests reduced motion.

If you experience discomfort, dizziness or any adverse reaction while playing, stop. Take breaks during extended play. If you have a condition affected by flashing or moving imagery, consider whether these games are appropriate for you before playing.

Frequently asked questions

Is Monster Arcade affiliated with any game franchise?

No. It is fully independent, and every creature, world and mechanic here is original. We use no characters, artwork, music or trademarks from any existing property.

Do the coins and gems in your games have any real value?

None. They are scoring objects inside a browser game. There is no currency, trading, cash-out, purchase or gambling anywhere on this site.

Why is there no global leaderboard?

Because the site is static with no server, so a submitted score could not be verified. We show your own local best instead and label it as such.

Are your guides professional advice?

No. They are descriptions of how our browser games work and how to play them better, written for entertainment and general information.
